Our son Wyatt loves UMA! He started Little Heroes about 18 months ago at age 6, moved to Beginners 6 months ago, and will join the Masters Club in January. He's almost 8 years old now and began UMA as a pretty shy kid. One of the biggest changes we've noticed is the improvement in his confidence level. He has confidence in his abilities on the mat, but he's also become less afraid and less nervous at his school programs where he has to stand before hundreds of people. He makes friends easily and seems to have improved his focus in several areas of his young life. Our monthly tuition is very reasonable and we couldn't be happier with the teachers and curriculum at UMA. They really care about their students' progress and overall growth.
I could not recommend them highly enough, especially for kids on the spectrum. They not only “accommodate” but genuinely care and relate to what comes along with teaching children with special needs. The owners are so incredibly kind. We’re happy to have been a part of their class.
I really love the balance of discipline and compassion my kids get at this studio.
UMA is a great place. Angelo and Misty are amazing teachers. I started about a year and a half ago with the adult class and I loved it so much that now I’m in the advanced class. They are patient and knowledgeable. You couldn’t pick a better place to learn and grow!
